FAQ
Good to know
Yes, for good. Logging food, barcode scanning, water, weight, streaks, reminders and the widget are free, your diary is saved to your account and syncs to every device you sign in on, and an assistant over MCP can log 3 times a day for free (then 1 Spark each). Nibble Plus adds photo logging in the app (without it, 15 Sparks a photo), the weight forecast, and unlimited custom foods and recipes.
The yearly plan starts with 7 days free. You get a reminder on day 5, and billing starts on day 7 unless you cancel. Monthly and lifetime have no trial.
Almost. Each photo is read by an AI model we pay for, so a subscription includes 30 photo logs a day and Lifetime includes 40 a month. Without Plus, each photo log is 15 Sparks, up to 30 a day. Search and barcode logging stay unlimited.
ChatGPT, Claude, and any assistant that supports MCP connectors. Add the Nibble address as a connector, sign in, then ask it to log a meal or check what's left. The connector asks the assistant to look each food up in the catalogue first, so what it logs carries vitamins and minerals and not only calories, and a bowl of several things is logged as its parts and shown as one row. Reading is always free; logging is free 3 times a day, then 1 Spark, and unlimited with Plus.
Packaged foods and barcodes come from Open Food Facts, and everyday foods from USDA FoodData Central. Anything missing, you can add yourself.
Yes, and it's free. Every food shows what its source knows: saturated and trans fat, cholesterol, sodium, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and the rest, plus vitamins A to K and the B group. The Nutrition screen adds a day or a week up against the FDA Daily Values and flags what went over or landed low, and an assistant can ask the same question over MCP. They come from the food you logged, so a photo estimate is matched to a real catalogue food where one fits, and anything logged without one can be matched to a food later, keeping your own name for it. Nothing is ever guessed from a name: where a source has no data, Nibble says so instead of showing a zero, and the percentages are a general reference, not a personal target.
No. Nibble is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice. Targets and forecasts are estimates; talk to a professional about your health.
Soon, on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. You can start on the web today, and the same account carries over.
